"DID YA MISS ME, YA WANKAS?!"

So yeah, I play Pokemon now. Landed a copy of X a year or two back, had fun with that (Deer God FTW) and with a fancy schmancy new game involving young heroes with unmoving faces exploring varied island environments and elementally-powered beings with a collection quest mixed in (wait...) , I couldn't help but ask for it for Christmas.

I've gone with Pokemon: Moon because of course I had to honor the Legendary Space Bat (RIP) , and I've beaten the game and had a rather fun time. Story was nice and clever, the challenge certainly showed up in places (more than what I got with X, which I understand was pretty neutered compared to usual troubles, but more than what I've seen with my attempt to play Platinum [which is forcing me to either grind moar or get gud in strategy, both of which I struggle with]), and there's a lot of cool creatures and features I like trying to collect. Overall, good times.

Of course, the picture kinda hints at what Starter I went with. I admit that when these were all first announced, I liked all of them, and couldn't really decide. But when I heard the rumors of what the final evolutions would turn out to be, I was rather taken and amused at what Litten was reported to get. Taken because I really enjoyed the aesthetic of having a Mexican wrestler Pokemon due to my own experiences with the genre , and amused because people were losing their composure over the fact their little fire kitty was not going to be a graceful fire tiger and was instead going to be a furry macho catman, which I couldn't help but bask in the tears of by quietly blasting tacky Hulkmania music in my room and do stupid cosplaying in Saints Row the Third (because Hogan played the Mexican Wrestler in that game, see...)

So as you can see, I went into Alola determined to have a Littenmania-fueled adventure, and I did not walk out dissatisfied. My little Angel (as I nicknamed him) BURN STUFF'd his way through the island challenges, sweeping the floor of the grass owl Haul chose as his starter and clobbering that Totem Lurantis other people seemed to struggle with for some reason. Made a great partner on top of having Ash-Greninja from the demo, as well, glad he was made available. Loved using his Inceneroar Z-Move too, it was a great finishing move to serve as a final "ZNAP YOU!" to the various boss fights I went through. Overall, great time. I can only wonder what it would've been like if Angel ended up being female. I would've found that quite amusing. Aw well, at least I just got a male Popplio that I can defy appearance norms with. In any case, great game, would play again (but I ain't picking up Sun on my own, I'm not falling for that "buy this twice to get more 'mons" trap!)

Also, if you didn't nickname Nebby Nebby, you're hopeless.
