Description
If Joker ever tried to ride a dragon he would probably snap in half with every twist and turn so I chose to overlook his bone condition. Originally I was thinking of having him in some non combat role but since everyone else is suited for it I wanted him to be able to participate in some way, plus he and the Normandy are kind of inseparable. So probably not my best thought out role but Iām ok with it.Related content

why not do away with the legs? make him need to be on the normandy dragon in order to fight

I don't know. I think one of Joker's charm is precisely because he has a bone condition. Imagine a dragon rider with such bone condition. The most awesome one at that. His bone condition being the reason Joker spend more time atop his dragon rather than walking on his two legs, and net result, he became the best in the business. Twits and turns... maybe some specialized harness?

Well, with magic things are a bit more fixable. Maybe in this setting he was born with a limp, and he is still not strong enough to be a front line warrior, but in the air he's a genius. I mean even in official mass effect we see him going from barely able to do anything without danger to firing an assault rifle at the end of 2, and I know from experience how much of a kick those things have. So worst case, magic lets him get about

I'm sure through some sort of magical means and a specially crafted saddle, he could manage to ride a dragon without injury.

He makes me think of what would have happened if Joxer visited Dinotopia and became a Skybax rider.
As you said, Joker and the Normandy are inseparable, which makes him being a rider a good choice despite his condition.

Well instead of giving him a leg condition you could have simply drawn him with a missing legs (whihc might be even considered a Dragon Trainer homage).

actually Jokers Leg Armor could protect his bones from breaking the trade off would be that he would forced to walk with a limp.
