I can see how this would fight
it would casual walk towards you and everytime you blow off one of tentacles it speeds up and when all the tentacles are gone it sprints towards you and explodes, covering you in the same acid stuuf that the Ravagers turn into when they die

how about reaper-fying the bird species that was never put into the game but was on a Bioware/mass effect newsletter forum thing. I forgot the website but i think the species was the raloi or something like that

By now, I think the only species in the ME universe to not get "Huskified"...are the Klixen.
Maybe if they were like Ravagers, but with mortars mounted on their backs? Or dual electro-cannons, kinda like the Reegar Carbine?

This should totally have been in the game. I can just see this thing grabbing you with its tentacles if you get close, being effectively a "harmless-at-long-range-but-if-it-gets-to-melee-OH-GOD-MY-FACE!" kind of enemy...

Hydra
A sick, twisted creation of the reapers. The Drell used in making Hydras are modified so that whilst still under reaper control, the Drell are in constant, agonizing pain because the Hanar attatched has dug its tendrils deep into the drells body, straight through its nervous system. This is the reason the Hydra makes a constant, dry groan as long as it is alive.
Hydras are slow, lumbering creatures. It stands at around 3 meters tall, easily taller than most krogan and is surprisingly physically durable. The long tentacles extending from the attatched Hanars body in fact have their own minds seperate from the hanar itself, which is simply dead. These tentacles have a tendency to screech loudly upon seeing an enemy, and violently lash ut once one comes in range. The 'jaws' on the Hydra's 'heads' are very powerful and can bite through most material, with a particular taste for sentient beings. Soldiers are encouraged to engage from a distance, focusing fire on the Hanars body, acting as a brain for the entire creature. A good shot will have the same effects as a headshot and bring the monster down. Any ally within range of the Hydras jaws should retreat immediately if they are not already torn in half.

Amazing art. Creepy as hell. Do not give Bioware ideas or these things will become like Banshees. I can just see it. That thing getting a squad cornered and the four tenticles wiping out the whole squad in one swift pink dosed mess.
