Yeah, that's why I want to have one. I use to check the DD of all days and some of them are REALLY good! But other don't deserve it. Most of them are only naked women and the picture has nothing special, only a pair of breasts...
One of things I don't like of this comunity is that. People who submit pictures of naked women use to have lots and lots of more pageviews than people who submit "normal" photographies like you and me.

There's your answer mate. That's what you need to do - submit some photos of naked women.
Sorry I'm joking. I think that in order to get a DD, the piece has to be more than just a photo. It has to have some kind of meaning that the audience can relate to, well in my opinion anyway.
I'm not bragging at all, but of the two DD's I've been awarded, both have engaged with the audience in some manner, and to be brutally honest, I don't think that they are my best deviations. So it must be something that makes you think outside the box, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, this is also something subjetive, not objetive. Maybe you have a deviation that is horrible but someone is in love with it, so I think it depends on who watchs your gallery
Maybe one day I'll submit some photos of naked women hahaah

Thanks matey. I'm enjoying the moment.
Thanks for your kind, yet true words.

I'm joking. I seriously don't rate my stuff at all. One is very self-critical of one's own work.
I guess if I can please my audience, then that's all that matters.

Nice. I just love the look that a good wide angle lens can give you. The depth and the slight curvature give photos a great feeling.

When I first clicked the DD I assumed it was going to be a Fractal. Instead its a crazy picture. What were you doing standing outside seemingly in the middle of the air in front of a pretty tall building?

You should do more shoots like this. It's really set apart from all the other bland shots of buildings by making the building itself the artwork.

AndrewToPhotography In reply to radicalTERRA [2009-10-07 17:33:51 +0000 UTC]
That's very kind of you to say so.
True, it's good to make the architecture a piece of abstract art itself.
I will try to keep this in mind in future.

Thanks Spidergirl. I just pointed my lens UP at the building and clicked. and hey presto! It's actually a littl trick that I did. I actually rotated the image so it gives the impression of looking down.

I appreciate others who admire my work and my only way of expressing my thanks is to thank people personally and reply to them. Not everyone does this, I've noticed, but each to their own.
