Thursday was kind of a shit day for me. I was on Instagram while waiting to get picked up and surprisingly enough I got a notification that the Gorillaz instagram was having a live stream. I hoped on as soon as a could to see if they were going to play a new song and to my luck they were. I got to listen to their new song "Andromeda" it wasn't the best quality but I was able to hear it and I loved it.I got home and I saw all the new songs and the new music video. I am in love! I absolutely love all the songs its like a melting pot of some of my favorite music genres, I couldn't be more hyped for their new album.
I loved the new music video and I just love Jamie Hewlett's work in general. Recently I've been drawing a lot in the Gorillaz art style and I decided why not draw something inspired by the new music in the style of the music video Saturnz Barz.
It took some time but holy hell I love it, definitely has to be one of my best works. It was so much fun to make, I really enjoyed creating this piece to the point that I would stay up until 3am just working on it.

Oh yeah, Melancholy Hill was an easy fave. Gosh, I think I used to listed to that when my brother and I still played guitar hero together.

I used to listen to Gorillaz a lot when I first found out about them a couple years ago. I remember putting on the gorillaz station on Pandora and then I stoped listening to them because the station din't have enough gorillaz lol.
It wasn't until recently that I got into them again when my little brother showed me their newest song "Hallelujah Money" then I started drawing in their style and I haven't been able to stop listening/ researching them.
