"Yup... but you can call me Mortimer... or Morty at that..."

"I hear you can get me anything that I desire for a certain price...er....Mortimer...."

"Indeed I can... I like a man that's straight to the point."

"I desire a night with my love the Moon... for I can only be with her when there is an eclipse... and that is much too long...in exchange for that I can give you anything you desire... for I am the Sun, the giver of life, father of fire, and forger of weapons..."

"I want your earring..."

"Wh...what?"

"Your earring... the one with the dangly moon on it..."

"Why... why would you want my earring when I can give you anything else?"

"Why are you hesitating to give it?"

"I can't though... it was the one gift that I received from my love the Moon... my daily reminder of her...."

"Exactly..."

"I see... you ask a mighty high price..."

"Of course... if it didn't mean anything why would I want it?"

And thus that is how Mortimer got his moon earring.
