Description

► Trainer
Sinclair Perrier [Professional Munna Appreciator]
Gender: Male | Age: 25 Years | Height: 6’0"Personality:
Sinclair is socially apathetic. He doesn’t actively dislike people and is actually quite outgoing, but he has never cared much about what others thought of him. He takes very little seriously and has a broad sense of humor that can easily descend into inappropriate. This apathy towards “proper” social interaction usually leads to one of two outcomes: Sinclair is either rejected by his peers or is read as silly and charming. He is okay with both options.
One aspect of Sinclair’s outward appearance that he cares about is clothing. While his sense of fashion isn’t always typical, he will defend it with a passion. He sews some of his own clothing, a skill that he was coerced into learning as a child, but is happy to practice as an adult. He is especially fond of outerwear, such as coats and vests.
Sinclair bonds more easily with his Pokémon than he does with most humans. He treats them to home-cooked dishes and as much time out of their Pokéballs as possible.

History:
Sinclair was born to wealthy parents in Saffron city. While he never had to do without the necessities, Sinclair always marched to the beat of a different drum. As a child, he often found himself in trouble with the authorities. His delinquent behavior continues to be a major source of disappointment for his parents. Though he no longer lives with them, they continue to grudgingly supplement him monetarily, still holding out hope that they will someday be able to mold him.
At 17, Sinclair flew to Unova on business that required he stick around for several months. During his time there, he discovered the Munna evolutionary line and became fascinated by the Dream Mist they produced. He wound up spending three years in Unova, experimenting with Dream Mist until he had created a crude substance (Sinclair refers to it as “Dream Dust” in his notes.) that would allow the user to experience the dreams on a more realistic level than the Mist. He has become addicted to Dust and breeds and raises Munna and Musharna for their Dream Mist.

► Pokémon Lineup
Trance [Male Gengar]
Preferred Moves: Shadow Ball | Focus Blast | Payback | Destiny Bond
Held Item: Black Glasses | Ability: LevitateAt only six years old, Sinclair ran away from home. He made it all the way to Lavender Town nearby, where he made camp in one of the abandoned buildings and met Trance. In the three days that it would take to find Sinclair, he and the Gastly bonded over scaring contests, breaking bottles, and other mischief. The two are more like brothers than trainer and Pokémon. Since the day they met, Trance has been there for Sinclair, serving up a mean lemon tea on sad days and serving up justice to anyone who tries to hurt his little bro.
Trance has a devil-may-care attitude towards matchups that he doesn’t consider challenging. He will play games on the field and likes to tease the other Pokémon and its trainer. However, he’s learned over the years that it’s best to quickly switch gears if things get out of hand. He can be deadly if given the opportunity. Trance’s biggest weakness is underestimating his opponent and not adapting quickly enough.

Jackpot [Agender Porygon-Z]
Preferred Moves: Tri Attack | Nasty Plot | Zap Cannon | Swagger
Held Item: None | Ability: AdaptabilityWhen Sinclair was around nine, he began sneaking out to the Game Corner in Celadon City after school. With the occasional assistance of a friend, he eventually accumulated enough coins to exchange for his goal: a Porygon, which he named Jackpot for obvious reasons. In addition to battling, Sinclair uses it as a really cool-looking storage device. The Dubious Disc Sinclair used to evolve it into a Porygon-Z improved its system security, but at the cost of predictably safe programming.
On a very good day, Jackpot can wipe the floor with its opponents. On a very bad day, Jackpot is a danger to everyone in the arena, including its own teammates and itself. Fortunately, most of the time, its abilities lie somewhere between these two extremes. Over the years, Sinclair has learned to pick up on warning signs, but Jackpot’s erratic behavior makes this a far-from-perfect art.

Perth [Female Tangrowth]
Preferred Moves: Power Whip | Synthesis | Earthquake | Sleep Powder
Held Item: Leftovers | Ability: ChlorophyllSinclair captured Perth as a Tangela in his mid-teens while on a summer trip throughout Kanto. Perth is playful and enjoys decorating and playing dress-up. She is also especially fond of objects small enough to hide within her vines and will not hesitate to steal them. As such, it’s probably a good idea to keep any particularly tiny Pokémon out of her reach. She likes to share her “catches” with people she likes to express her affection.
Perth is the team tank. She prefers to draw out battles, absorbing damage and healing herself instead of ending the match quickly. Perth is capable of enduring a lot during a battle and can be a serious annoyance to the opponent, but her moves do become predictable relatively quickly.

Edna [Female Musharna]
Preferred Moves: Reflect | Dream Eater | Hypnosis | Calm Mind
Held Item: None | Ability: SynchronizeSinclair tries not to play favorites, but he has a special place in his heart for Edna. She was the first in his Munna family herd. Sinclair fell in love with her on sight and later learned of the powers of Dream Mist through her. He is vehemently protective of his “Eddie babycakes” and keeps her around constantly. Edna is spoiled rotten and honestly doesn’t mind serving up Dream Mist every now and again.
For reasons that should be obvious, Edna isn’t sent into battle as often as Sinclair’s other Pokémon. When she is, she will immediately put the opponent to sleep in order to boost her power and wreak havoc with Dream Eater.

Mandolin [Male Frillish]
Preferred Moves: Hex | Toxic | Scald | Recover
Held Item: Eviolite | Ability: Cursed BodySinclair met Mandolin near the end of his adventures in Unova. After a night that would certainly make for an interesting story of its own, Sinclair woke up half-naked on a beach to the sight of this Frillish digging through his bag and decorating itself with the contents. He managed to wrestle his possessions back, but this made the Frillish sulk. Instead of leaving it alone on the beach, Sinclair captured it, named it (in his daze) Mandolin, and treated it to a cheeseburger. Mandolin is very touchy-feely and likes attention, but can be picky about who he gets it from.
Mandolin’s battle tactics focus on inflicting painful status conditions upon the opponent, leaving him open to heal at his leisure. He’s slow in battle, but uses it to his advantage as much as possible. His major set-back at this point is being a relatively newly-captured, unevolved Pokémon.

Cosmo [Male Abra]
Preferred Moves: Psychic | Double Team | Hidden Power | Psyshock
Held Item: Twisted Spoon | Ability: Magic GuardCosmo teleported into Sinclair’s yard one afternoon during play time with the herd. He was still clearly an infant, so with no parents in sight, Sinclair took him in. Cosmo is still a very young Pokémon and, like most Abra, he sleeps a lot. He’s very attached to Sinclair and likes having his naps near his trainer. He also loves blankets and sweet snacks.
Seeing as Sinclair has not had much time to train Cosmo, he isn’t sent into the real rough-and-tumble battles just yet. However, Sinclair takes any given opportunity to increase his skills. In battle, the focus is on staying out of the enemy’s way and taking them down quickly.
► Notes
While Sinclair is out, his Munna family herd is watched over by a female Slowking named Noel. Sinclair received Noel the Slowpoke as a pet for his tenth birthday and she was bitten on the head by a Shellder while the two were out for a swim together. Noel enjoys playing nanny because it gives her the opportunity to research in her spare time. She likes drinking coffee, especially paired with crème brûlée.
Sinclair and Newt Mouton were childhood friends until Newt skipped town.
Jackpot is a genderless Pokémon. Defaulting to “him” or “her” when talking about it is the quickest way to get on its nerves.

I don't think you guys understand or can appreciate how long I was working on this omfg.
