i love the expression in the boys eyes! it's the first aspect of this photograph that caught my attention, but from there on there is so much to look at. i love the simplicity of the composition as well as the light that falls directly on the right side of the boys face. i know you asked for critique, but i can only praise you i think it's a beautifully captured photo.

this is really a great phography. i like that his face catches peoples eyes first. his slight cheekily smile works out perfectly maybe he is hiding something behind that door? there's much to interpret in this picture!!!

Mwahaha, Lady Killer Alert!
But seriously...
Gorgeous lighting work in black and white, very classic without feeling timeless - instead very much more alive with the brightest effect appearing to be on his right shoulder - which in this pose is nonexistent giving vivid and stunning vibrancy to his features and left side; the framing and angle speaks volumes
He actually seems pretty relaxed in this shot, he must have found working with you pretty cool.
I particularly like the aged, rusting accent of the door locks in the same section as the most shadowed part of your model - it gives contrast preventing the lighting effect from washing out his features and gives him a more real quality of depth and personality dimension - he's more than an adorable kid in this picture which is what I like the most.
Different than most "be-a-little-kid" shots, this composition presents a vibrant, growing individual with depth and the sense of being real, not an object.
I honestly wish I could find flaws for a better critique!
