I generally ask the original artist directly for permission, and I did so only for myself, so I expect you will need to do the same. Also it is a silvery blue, not greyscale, though that may be a difference in how our monitors are set up.
Secondly, you are better off using the original unshaded lineart as a base if you are actually serious about colouring it yourself.
