My face when this basically ended up happening to Contra. Which is a Konami thing, but still.
At least the ACTUAL Nintendo mobile games aren't quite as bad. They're still money-grubbing gutter trash that should be destroyed without prejudice, but at least it's not quite Mario Runners. Yet.

Endless runner games don't use lives. Only puzzles. Think of it like Run Sackboy Run! You can buy the items or grab them in the rare chance they appear in game.

Iwata (Atleast I THINK it was Iwata) says he hates the term 'free to play'. He said they should be called 'free to start'. Hopefully this means Nintendo's gonna stay away from that aspect of mobile games.

Yeah...I HATE freemium games, they are the worst idea of mony makers I got the MLP FIM one and it's probably the worst off them. Actually I wanted to do a review of it, think I could use you comic as a reference idea of just how the concept is? Full credit will be given of course.

mostly for phone games you download the game for free but they have premium things you have to buy things and what makes this annoying is because you end up having shell out more money just to make the game worth while as joked & complained in this comic. It's a money maker & some worse then others. MLP: FIM is infamous for this. Maybe it's not just for me but I think I would just pay 20 bucks to get a FULL game. It's similar to DLC (downloadable content) but with normal games DLC is meant ADD to the game but you didnt need it unlike freemium games.

Freemium means free to play but not exactly because there are all of these micro transactions that developer throw in to make more money. It's been plaguing the industry for a while now. They're not really free to play games but more like free to start.
