Description This was also during the ice storm on the hill my sister and I climbed. Most of the ice was softened so it was easier to scale the giant hill. The shot was intended for my neighborhood, but the limbs got in the way. In the end, it turned out ot be an awesome picture if I do say so myself. ^_^

Thank you!!! However, it was a pain in the neck to get through. DX

Did it hit your area as well?

Yeah, it did. I took advantage of it and got a few icy photos like you. :3

Really? Oh, didn't see those there. XD Nice cat.

I was just trying out my new camera which I will be taking to the next Izumicon and possibly TnT!

Are you planning on going to either this year? And are there any other cons going on that I don't know about?

Yup, I'll be at both TnT and Izumicon. ^_^ I'm not sure where you're located, but there are two other smaller cons here in Oklahoma. There's Hana-Con in Jenks, which is just a few weeks away. (website: [link] ) There's also Mini-Con in Tulsa in September (website: [link] ) Some of us are heading up to Kansas City in the middle of March for Naka-Kon (website: [link] ) Several Oklahomans go to A-Kon in Dallas in May (website: [link] ) while others of us head up to Chicago for Anime Central, also in May (website: [link] ). Most of us attend AnimeFEST in Dallas at the beginning of September (website: [link] ). There are other Texas cons, but most of us don't attend them because of the drive and them being small cons. Cosplay.com has a comprehensive list of cons in the USA (and other countries) you can take a look at if you are curious about other cons. ^^

I'm just about an hour south of east from Tulsa. The farthest my parent will let me go is Tulsa or OKC so I can't even get out of the state. Plus they are forcing me to get my driver's license which I don't want to get because cars scare me.... D= I have almost had my permit for a year now!

It's not fair.... TT_TT I wish I had friends that could go to these things! Anyone will count as long as my parents get to talk with them and just know transportation costs and stuff like that..... (Hint, hint) [Just kidding... XD Or am I?]

Ah, ok, I live in Broken Arrow, which borders Tulsa to the southeast. Where are you at?

GET A CAR. Trust me. I was afraid of cars, too, and did not want to get my license. However, my mom made me go on my 16th birthday, telling me that I would regret it if I didn't. She was right. There are so many things I couldn't do now if I didn't have my license. Of course, that was 7 years ago, but anyway. XD Just because you get your license doesn't mean you will be completely on your own. You can still have your parents ride around with you for support.

Do you have a Cosplay.com account? If so, there's an Oklahoma Cosplayers thread (link below). A bunch of us talk on there every day, and we're all deeply into the Oklahoma con scene (we either know heads of the cons or are staff members ourselves). So, it's a great place to get inside information about conventions and hear about upcoming gatherings and events. We love to have newcomers. (: Just introduce yourself if you have an account; we're all very welcoming.

If you don't have a Coscom account, you can get involved in the Izumicon and TnT forums. That's a great way to make friends you can meet up with at the con. Also, if you ever see me at a con, let me know who you are and I'll introduce you to a bunch of people. (:

I live over in Tahlequah across from Cherokee Nation.

The thing I don't want to get is a job because I have to pay for insurance. We tried the job thing and it didn't go over too well with my school so we had to quite the job. In my AP classes, I can't really afford to mess up with a job.
I'm more afraid of that since I am all ready having enough trouble trying to keep up with the class.

No. I don't have an account there. Later when I was better at cosplaying I was thinking about it. I'll try to get involved as much as I can.

Thanks, that would be great. It would help a lot.

Ah, I see. Well, good luck with your classes and your cosplays. Keep in touch, and be sure to say hi to me if you see me at a con. ^_^
