Grow to be happy to be yourself.Grow to accept and like who you are. If you're an angel and they say you belong in hell or a demon and they say you belong in heaven, grow out of both. You don't need to belong to anywhere or in any category. You can't look the way they want you to look so why not just say "screw them I like myself the way I am anyway!" The only person who needs to like you is yourself, don't live to please others.
This has taken me way too long to realize.

BOOYEAH! My kind of message! One should NEVER live to please others, or allow themselves to be defined by those about them. Who you are is a choice between yourself and God, NO ONE ELSE. I say "God" because it's akin to saying the only one who has any right to say anything about who you are (and even He doesn't tell you who/what to be) is He that is all that is and beyond... something far out of reach of any being, far beyond the grasp of mortal man. Can anything supersede that and tell God to step down, and let you be defined by everyone else? I would think not. God, I think, gets rather unhappy when we try to tell others who they should be, to pass judgement on them, to demand they conform to society or others' thoughts/beliefs... it's like telling Him that He has no right to give us our own free will, an ability to not merely choose who we are, but to grow. But I ramble now, so I'll shut up before I get too carried away

Oh, I'm not religious. Religion is when you take a belief, and then create a system of rules describing exactly how to follow that belief. Since I follow no specific set of rules dictating to me how I should believe in God (infact, I despise/dissagree with most quite strongly), I most certainly am not religious.
And yes, the catholic church tends to do that to the Word of God, I've noticed... they treat it more like a death sentence, rather than a celebration of what it means to live.
