*** Please fullview to see all the artiness to full effect!***This will be the first in a series of pictures dedicated to the awesome that is the TF2 crew. First up we have Sniper. I've always imagined him to be a little lonely at heart, given how far away from everyone he is both by proximity and personality. That's what inspired this picture, anyway!

EDIT: Realised I'd left a lineart layer in that's not meant to be there. His scar is now much more realistic looking.

Feckin brilliant work, textures, lighting (even if accident) and the movement curve of his body all work really well. Can not think of any other crit atm, but will ahve proper look another time.

THANKYOU! Something was bugging me, that I thought I'd forgotten to refine... THAT WAS IT! I've softened the area and added some extra definition, it looks a lot better now!

The lighting was an accident, believe it or not! I streaked some translucent white lines over Sniper accidentally while trying to lighten the background and used Overlay - That's how they come out!
The background was painted using Goldrush screenshots as references and by using a graphics tablet with Photoshop CS3. I used a set of brushes a friend gave me which have pen pressure enabled and so flow differently based on how hard you press. They also have a texture overlay which gives a much more rough effect.
I've uploaded the brush set I used on Mediafire - You have to go into Brush properties to change the tip shape to round, which is what I used for this piece (well, all but the light beams anyway). Hope they help! Should be virus free and things, I received them from a friend and my comp's been fine since. [link]

You're not alone - My neighbour looks just like an older version of Sniper too! Long face, blue eyes, deep mouth corners... And he has a London accent, which sounds a lot like Aussie on many words. Is it wrong I have a small spazfit whenever I see him?
