ok uhh....not the best angle...but I wanted to show his facial expression. I literally worked 24 hours staight on this!!! I'm not kidding! this is why I broke down and cried when it fell apart. at least I got this pic right before I whent to peices....Y_Yso yes...it is Johnny the homicidal maniac...this isn't the original pose I had in mind but he kept falling apart so I had to change it a little...after I finally got all of the peices together to make it look like this ha came apart again and I was like...fuck it. so heres that...
He was suposed to be looking down at his hands...either looking depressed or confused...at least deep in thought. and he was suposed to have both his legs up. not one on the ground...but I was re-baking that leg and it was on an extremely high temp somehow and that leg melted...which pissed me off cuz the boot on that one came out really fucking good...so I was lazy with that leg when re-making it. ANYWAYS....I forgot when I was gonna say...I'm tired cuz I keep trying not to sleep...been having bad dreams and I don't wana confront them....

ps-the front of his shirt has the happy noodle boy on it and it says noodle...the back says: this is my back.
does anybody think I am good at this? maybe I should persue a career in flash animation?

Aww that's really cool sorry it fell apart I hate it when that kind of stuff happens, like when I'm working on something then the computer locks up and lose the file I've been working on for the past hour and a half.

Umm, i'd say you were good at this, but i know absolutely nothing about sculpting.

I wish I had better images...it fell apart while I was taking pictures. yeah the arms and legs were a bitch. I tried to use some skewers to support the legs but they probably posed as more of a problem than a solution.

yeah.. old clay is always hard to work with cuz the plasticizers denature and the clay turns to crumbly crap.. even after kneading it sucks.. sculpey flexx is the worst for that.. its worthless when it gets old.. unles you mix it with sculpey dilutent. but even so thats a pretty good johnny.. obe of the best ive seen on here.. there need to be more polyclay sculptors on deviantart if ya ask me.. ill be sure to show you the Johnny im working on when its done, which should be pretty soon.

what kind of clay are you using? that in itself may be the problem. taht and johnny is very thin.. even in a sittin pose a wire frame would make him alot more stable.. if you wanna be sure a think figure wont melt use premo! brand clay and make sure you dont bake it for more than 30 minutes at a time... rebaking is great but the clay hasta cool down or it will burn or melt ..melting is rare..only clay ive had melt on me was sculpey 2..that was ages ago..like 15 years.. if ya need any more pointers id be happy to help!

it was premo...it only melted when I put it in the oven when it was too hot...and the clay was fairly old...so i think thats what the problem was

That kicks ass, hun. Tis a shame it fell apart. Did you try putting wires in to hold the limbs in place? You should try that next time. ^_^ Great job though.

I think this is a wonderful job! The face and hair... VERY nice. HAIR. The pose is awsome... and I gess it kind of would be a little hard to bake such a skinny figure. But I love how it really looks like him and the art style, WONDERFUL.

baking it was easy...I just had this great idea of baking his parts seperately and then glueing them together...and I found out the craft clue i had really sucked....plus is was kinda of old dried out clay. :3 but thank you!! <3
