This was one of my first attempts to draw Drizzt like I used to imagine him. He looks kinda short and awkward.
I don't know why, but every Drizzt artwork (or almost) I find on the internet kinda scares me. Most of the artists draw Drizzt looking like a beast or something like that. He's supposed to look slender, light and young (at least in the Darkelf Trilogy, the only one I've read so far). You also hardly see in the ilustrations the most talked detail about Drizzt - his lavender eyes.
EDIT (2010): Gee, I kinda flickered at this comment I made years ago, when I hardly knew about Drizzt and his world.
Now I've seen tons and tons of nicely painted images of Drizzt that inspire me and I must make a totally new drawing of him!

Yep that's the one, in fact, I think I have it somewhere in my book collection. Most of my RA Salvator books are really old, they used to belong to my dad, and I'm 22 ^^'' so that tells you just how old they are, eh? I love them to death though.
And you gotta love Gwenehyver...if that's how you spell her name. I know how it sounds, but I haven't read the books in ages.

I think it's pronounced 'gwen-hive-er'...at least that's how my dad prounounced it when he would read the books to me. And he's really good and pronouncing complicated names like that.

Probabily it's the right sound then. It's not v. different from the way I used to pronounce, and it still rings beautifully.
Guenhwyvar's one of the few big names I like. I usually prefer short names. I think I like it mostly because it's the panther, and that's reason enough.
