Um, what is the difference between the types of tails? How do they affect the bird's flight?

I'm not totally sure? I think its safe to say that wing shape affects flight more than that of the tails. The main thing to keep in mind about tails is that they serve as breaks and rudders while in flight, no matter what shape.
