Hi guys! I was thinking about Disney characters and I'm not sure how I got the idea, but I really wanted to see what it would look like if Moana and Jack Frost switched color palettes. I thought it'd make Jack look like a pretty rad dude with fire powers, but I wasn't sure how it'd look on Moana. But I decided to try it with Moana and Elsa instead, just as fun experiment! Color makes a huge difference! Moana looks like a cool surfer chick, and Elsa looks like a fire queen! What do you think?

P.S. Elsa looks really cool with brown eyes in her original palette. Moana with blue eyes/clothes and her regular palette remind me of a waterbender!

I know what whitewashing is, and it is indeed a huge problem. But this is not whitewashing. The point of this edit was not to 'make Moana white'. If yoUR intention is to complain about how racist I am, please just stay off this post. You’re taking a problem that does indeed exist, by applying it to a situation where it doesn’t belong. Yes, I happened to make Moana white in this edit. But the point of it was a color palette swap, not a race swap. Had I thinned our her nose, straightened her hair, given her some more traditionally Caucasian features (like many irritating fan arts do), then yes- that would be blatant whitewashing and very insensitive. Had Elsa been any other skin tone, I would have done the same thing. I just wanted to see how it would look with two characters’ colors switched up, nothing more, nothing less. While race is indeed an important issue- it doesn’t have to be problematic all the time.
