ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: After 5 years of hunting it down, I finally found an old commercial that didn't run very long in which Ed and Daphne Blake (from Scooby Doo) go on a date! It was actually storyboarded and animated by AKA, so the designs in it are canon enough for me! Next time I see Bunji online I'll send it to him to put on the site. Anyway, there's a good reason I was crazy excited to finally have this commercial...
1. We see a Peach Creek fast food restaurant!
2. MORE IMPORTANTLY, we see AND HEAR a TEENAGER who works at the restaurant!
Scoot is a caricature of senior storyboard artist Scott Diggs Underwood, and you can bet your sweet bippy I'm gonna put Scoot and this restaurant in an animation (my fan movie, if you've heard). I don't know what else to say... Have fun!

Well, Scoot and James will both be in the movie I'm making, and if I manage to make a series out of Bro Show, they'll be in it as little kids. That's almost as good! : D

Scoot and Eddy's brother are the only new characters iv seen in the show, otherwise its just the kids of the culdesac and the 3 sisters of the trailer park, exept on u see in a commercial and the other u seen in the movie, if only they were in the whole show, wonder how it would turn out OwO

There's also a number of caricatures of people who worked on the show in pictures in season 5. The most notable is James, who appears for 2 frames on a photo in 'This Won't Hurt an Ed'.

Apparently, my brother seems to recall seeing this. He doesn't know how, but he thinks he's seen this before.
As far as cross-overs go, this one is exceptionally note-worthy: Ed and Daphne Blake on a date. Who would've thought that could ever happen? I'd say this is about as random and... cool(?) as the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cross-over.

It feels like there were supposed to be a series of these Toon Dates shorts but only this one got made... I don't know any backstory on it outside of a little of its history with AKA, though (which I pretty much covered in the description by explaining who Scoot is).

I think the only other EEnE commercials AKA made were a few very early bumpers with the CN logo, so this is a rarity for any country. XD

Thank God somebody else saw this! Almost everyone I know who's seen it didn't give a damn about Scoot. ]: They were just like "haha, that was a funny commercial, I can't wait for more Toon Dates!"

I tracked down a guy on Toonzone who had a DVD of when it first aired, and 3 weeks later (aka last night), he sent me the video file! I'm working on getting it into the clips section on T3E but in the mean time I may put it on my Youtube account since I'm at risk of losing it for copyright junk anyway. XP
