If there's one gag in the pokemon anime i can't stand apart from pikachu shocking people who mean him no harm, jigglypuff drawing on peoples faces when sending the to sleep and Team Rockets motto.
It's Ash (or any under age character ) cross dressing mostly against his will. Because the people who make the anime think children cross-dressing is apparently very funny....
Well I'll tell it's not, it's funny if it's adult in say a Monty Python sketch but not with a 10 year old boy, who to be honest doesn't really even make a very convincing girl especially in Sun and Moon with his ugly new design. Seriously in almost every era they have Ash dress in girls clothes and even if they don't have have another character do so. E.G. Having Serena dress in his clothes which I found silly and uncomfortable.
