Hi, friends !well, how I explain in the last pic of my MLP fan work, here you can see the characatres with colors
and, again, for avoid some confusion, the characters of this pic :
Our ponies heroines:
Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack Fluttershy, Spike and Zecora
the difference now would be the inclusion of Zecora, it would be a "counselor" of our heroines
After their our have the models of Princess Celestia and her sister, Princess Luna and a basic model of the pegasus royal guard
The three new ponies are a spacial creation mine for this work:
Thunderchild, the eletric unicorn
Icebreaker, the frost pegasus
Fireworker, the flame mare
They are "The Fabulous Tri-Sis"
This trio of sisters will help Princess Luna( for her tough luck ....)
Finally, what would be the heroes without villains, is not it?
This demon ram is Grogar, the lord of Darkness of ancient Tambelon city
behind him, see his servant, Bray, the donkey and the new Grogar's particular sorceress, the "new" great and powerfull Trixie, who has magical powers thanks to the new oath of loyalty that she made for her new master (obviously she can "break" this oath)
Also have the model of commander in chief of Tambelon's army, the commander Hammer Horn and basic model of the goats soldiers and elite soldiers of Grogar's army
How I explain in the first model, Grogar and Bray are characters of the 80's original series and, I belive that can be a good idea make a "remake" of some old ideas
So, those are the main characters that I will use in this fan work and, soom, I will post some pics basead in this idea

True. I doubt Grogar would put up with Discord for long. Villains that take light of a situation, don't have long lasting alliances with more serious villains. It's one of the reasons the Joker, isn't in the Legion of Doom. Grogar and Discord could fight, but Grogar's magic would be far more powerful. That and I like your version of Grogar. I can imagine him ruling over a planet like Apokolips, and coming into the Ponies world through a Boom Tube. (Yet again more Darkseid references.) I can even imagine Michael Ironside doing the voice of Grogar, and using his Darkseid voice.

For this fan work I'm using many elements of 80's series
for example:
in the original series, the Grogar's kingdon, the ancient city of Tambelon appear in cycles of 500 to 500 yeas where he, kidnapping the unicorn ponies and using their power, try the world conquest of the ponies
adapting this concept to the current series would look like this:
every 500 years of the dimeisions of Equestrian and Tambelon align and come into contact, however the move to can only be opened from the Equestria by a magical unicorn with big powers
When will do the mistake of open the portal is Trixie....after her humiliation by the incident in Ponyville.
she was wandering aimlessly in and Equestrian, this journey she meets a donkey, Bray ... who offers to help her and leading Trixie to a set of abandoned ruins, it shows a kind of "portal" with a symbol that represents the sinister face of a ram
Bray explain that this ram is his master, Grogar, a powerfull ram-god and he can give the power that she want for defeat Twilight..but only magical unicorn can detroier the magic seal that separates the world of Equestria with the Grogar's dimension
Trixie hesitate to do so, but the grudge against her Twilight speaks louder and she destroys the seal
once again opening the connection of both worlds

Yeah That makes sense. It's just that Grogar fits the Darkseid mold so well. I like that Trixie is the one who unwittingly opens the inter dimensional portal. I still like the idea of having Michale Ironside be the voice of Grogar. With your character model,you need a voice actor who can deliver a truly evil voice.

well, Trixie will need break some seals, when she break the first seal , Grogar will reward she with new powers, she will win a magical bell, which will expand her powers
So the more she use it, the more powerful it gets, but she will want more power, but this will have to break the rest of the seals

This makes me happy in ways. I love love the way you designed Grogar and his group! I'd actually pay more attention to the show if they brought him in.

I will explain
in the basic idea is Trixie meet a donkey, Bray( the Grogar's servant, he explain that know a powerfull creature, his master, that can help her, giving the power she wants to overcome rival.
after a talk, Trixie agreed and follows Bray, more later in place with a sinister abandoned ruins, Bray Trixie shows a large portal with a symbol of a ram.
the portal has various seals and on top of this portal to a large bell attached by chains, Bray explains that his master was banished to another dimension, but every five hundred years, the dimensions are aligned but the seals that separate the two worlds only can be broken for the Equestria side by a true magic unicorn

At first Trixie will not do it, fearing making a mistake, however, came an ominous voice portal speak to her, and explains that no one is forcing her to anything and it can go, but will remain what it always was , a phrase
But if she had begun to break the seals, it will gain the power he always wanted and it can overcome her rival
So, pride and resentment of her speak louder and she breaks the first seal, this one of the chains that hold the bell above the portal to leave and he plays. On the beat of the bell, a beam of mystical energy out of him and reaches Trixie, increasing the powers of her magic in an incredible. She is excited about the new powers and she notes that her neck a little bell.
The voice from the doorway, now stronger, which explains that bell is the symbol of her power and each seal broken, she would gain more power
So Trixie out of the ruins to test their new powers
Still inside the ruins, Bray asked if the unicorn will terminate the service comes in response the ghostly figure of a large ram, Grogar, who says that soon the young unicorn will finish destroying the seals with great pleasure

in this fan work, with the power tha Grogar will give for Trixie, she will turn into a magic "alicorn" ( a pegasus unicorn)

in fact what will solve this crisis is the good old team work because only Twilight and her friends, as Princess Celestia, even with all their powers are no match for this threat

Hmm, gathering ideas? Sure. Another thing I can off is to kind of like, I don't know, a mini Lord of the Rings battle, Rohan VS Isengard, and it's going to be a no choice if imagine the Wonderbolts as air force support.

ah yes, well, I imagie, too greats battle scene of the royal pegasus and unicorn guards against the goat soldiers and the Wonderbolts can be an "air force"
and thei can fight against the Skullcrushers, the Grogar's special forces
but, of course the main fight is the fight of Celestia vs Grogar
