The guards were getting sloppy it seems.
Perhaps they just did not get the order or misinterpreted it. The warden may not have made himself clear enough to them.
Instead of just saying "the inmates are not allowed to wear shoes" he should have made himself clearer by saying "the inmates are not allowed to have any footwear, respective items have to be seized, explicitly including socks and similar pieces of clothing".
Hope this misunderstanding gets cleared up soon.

I'm still working on helping Prodigal come up with a consistent look for Camelorum. So far, I'm exploring options in The Sims 4, since my machine can no longer handle Sims 3.
Much like Springfield in the Simpsons, it's been interpreted so many ways by so many artists, that there's no one cohesive take on it. But here's what features it needs to have:
- Standard fare basic infrastructure stuff.
- All of Prodigal's main cast.
- Room for comedic antics.
- Just enough breaks from reality to allow for Luin's deranged schemes to still be possible.
- Co-ed
- PG-rated
- Easy enough design to be replicated with ease in several panels or games or rendering engines.
I chose "Camelorum" (Latin: of camels) based on an old joke from Ciem (2007), where the Viron University football team was named that. It literally means "By-Products of Many Camels," a perfect way for staff to diss the inmates.

Jenny: "Okay...how to take the edge off this scenario...."
"We're Marley / and Marley! Nah, that's too Muppet Christmas...hmm..."
"Chained...chained heart...Shot / through the heart! / And you're to blame!/ "

Jenny: "Maybe I'll just watch the planes fly by outside. Yeah...there's an airport near here, right? Maybe a hawk will eat a sparrow mid-air!"
Three hours in...
Jenny: "I could sure go for a radio right about now. Even if it's talk radio. But knowing these guys, it'll probably be jammed in the FM mode and the only strong signals here will be Top 40 pop crap and maybe some station where half the lyrics are in Spanish! I mean, REALLY! Go to Spain if you want Spanish music! What? Do I sound racist! Who cares? This is Hell! I'm allowed to sound that way! You can't judge me! I have a bowling ball and I know how to use it!"
Five hours in...
Jenny: "Yarr! Ye scurvy dogs off the starboard bow! I be the captain of this ship and ye throw me in the brig! What excuseful mutineers be ye?"

Great look...the expression on her face like she can't realize the ball and chain are meant for her. Nice touch with the socks but I wonder why she isn't barefoot. The open toilet in full view of the bars is good. Even the wrinkles on the sheets make it realistic. She should have been given a haircut though. All in all a great photo!
