I love the way this glows like it's lit from within. Beautiful shape and repetition.

Thanks again. This was one of my first attempts at what I call "organic" fractals... at least to myself to differentiate the different styles I do.
Love,
Anj

Saw this a few days ago and thought I had ed it - but no... so I will now. The colors are reminiscent of the refraction you can get from some of the high grade hologram art pieces. quite nice!

Thank you, Steve! I'm very glad you like it. It was one of those that I was actually working to get something else and this occurred. You don't look (or at least *I* don't look) a gift horse in the mouth!

Gotcha regarding the oral viewing of equine offerings. Many of mine are seem to be the mostly unintentional results of "playing with triangles".

There's apparently the other approach of writing the scripts where I'm assuming you are now in more more"control" of Apo - though maybe not. The engineer in me is kinda interested in digging that deep into the program - but available time will limit that for the foreseeable future. Besides - playing has always been fun for me...

You are an engineer? What field?
I know what you mean about wanting to dig into the scripts. I do too... but for now I'm just enjoying using them.

Well - back in the dark ages I studied biomedical eng and then switched to Computer and Systems Engineering for my B.S. (an EE degree with a focus on control systems). The biomed field just hadn't really materialized at the time. After several years doing systems design and new business development support in aerospace, I've now spent that last dozen years or so doing all kinds of stuff in the arena of the toy and premium/promotional product design and development. It's not high tech but it focuses more on good fundamental problem solving across a variety of disciplines. And...there's generally something new to go investigate and find out how to apply and how to make "real".
A somewhat long-winded answer... I apologize for that.

Oh, absolutely do NOT apologize! I enjoyed reading every bit of it. I'm in the construction industry, working with aluminum and glass curtain wall and I'm what you would probably call a design engineer. And it is so interesting to hear and think about fields I've never thought of. What you do sounds very interesting!

Cool - I really like the idea of making things that people can see, touch and feel. I would also think that sense of accomplishment you get when you complete a project is pretty good. I remember watching the Thunderbirds flying F-16s at shows (the first aircraft I worked on) and the sense of pride I felt was pretty darn amazing. All those parts, all the countless man-hours of effort and the result is so beautiful and capable... It's a different sense of accomplishment/fulfillment I get now - always wondered what it would be like to build real structures 0 things of permanence.

Ahhhh... how well I can relate to your sense of pride when you saw the F-16's flying. It is a wonderful sense of accomplishment to make something tangible. And what you get now must be fulfilling, because David does a very similar kind of work and loves it.

Equal parts fulfilling and frustrating...
...but I think that's pretty standard these days.

Thank you, kind sir! The gradient is one of my own... I haven't published any of these yet. I have posted a file of 100 of my bright gradients to my scraps.

Thanks, Steve! It just came out the way it came out. Funny... I'm trying to do one specific thing, and can't seem to come anywhere close... I see others do it, but I can't seem to create it! grrrrrrrrrrr... but in the process I'm coming up with some interesting fractals that are not what I want. *grin*

Thank you so much, Pat! I'm really pleased that you liked it. I'm still trying to figure out this method and what can be done with it.

I'm okay. Thanks for asking. Spending the weekend alone as hubby is in Seattle doing his National Guard drill. He has one more to do next month and then he will be finished. They will retire him at that drill and then he retires from his job on March 30.
Enjoying warmer, spring-like weather, but still gray and cloudy. Making lots of fractals to pass the time.
How are you doing? Hope you are feeling better and getting some rest. Glad to see you making your art.
Take care.
Love and Peace and Big Hugs,
Kim

Not feeling so hot today. It's almost like I am worse today. Harder to breathe... more of a choking sensation that the medication is not relieving. Grrrr...
It must be nice that he is going to retire, right? Less time away from home.
As far as making the fractals is concerned, sometimes I have them already rendered, but don't post because I tell myself I'm going to catch up with all the other stuff - messages, deviations - before I post anything more.
Love and hugs,
Anj

Hope you feel better soon. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and warm and sunny there, right? Go out in the sunshie for a while. That will help.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to. This cough is just not settling down. Went and laid down for about and hour because I just could NOT stay awake. Would have been out like a light but for this cough. Finally got back up and took a HOT bath because I was soooo cold. grrrrrrrrrr I hate being sick!
