Impression again:
"so strong, it's almost religious"
It reminds a bit of an angel figure with wings, plus the blue lightning in the center.

Thank you for the lovely compliment. I never saw what you saw before, but once you point it out, I see it.

amazing design! where do you get your inspiration?

Thank you for the compliment!
On this one is was a friend - who is depressed because a friend of HIS is having a hard time. I honestly think this man is very empathetic and absorbs the emotions of those around him. He is a TERRIFIC artist too. The inspiration for the title comes from the fractal itself.
Sometimes I just work with a fractal until I see something beautiful, and then I find a title for it.
Does that answer your question?

Anj

yes it does ^^
thank you and you're welcome
Oh I know how he feels then, I'm very empathetic too
that's why I hate seeing people in pain ><
I must see his artwork!

When you look at his artwork, a lot of his digital stuff really isn't that good, but the traditional art - his DRAWINGS art absolutely fantastic.

I like the blue sphere in the middle, sort of reminds me of one of those plasma balls - then with the fractals all around it, give it sort of an etheral look to it

Hi, Kurt,
Thanks for the comment and the ! BTW, these are easy to make... All it takes is three transforms (triangles) one of a linear only variation, one of a disc variation and one small one of a linear variation.
Here's a link to the basic tutorial: [link]
After you add the two transforms per the tutorial, add a third one (green triangle) in the transform editor and downsize it to about 25% of the other two. Then, rotate it, move it around, scale it up and down. The little green one is the one that adds the interesting additional forms.
Hugs,
Anj

GREAT! Now my brain is swirling in a sea of math confusion, err... mass confusion! But I will check out the tutorial because everytime i do a random rendering I'm always blown away. Once I can start controlling my mathematical universe I can have better control over the renderings. The problem I have is that unlike other fractal freeware, you can't zoom into areas and see differing patterns but the clouds and patterns exibited are the best of any fractal software I've seen, hands down.

Oh, you can zoom in. That's what is so hard about learning Apo... unless you take the time to do a lot of tutorials you don't learn all the in's and out's of it. To zoom in, you click on the adjust window icon... or push F5, then click on the "Rendering" tab. At the bottom right is the Master Scale window. Type in a larger scale and you will zoom in... type in a smaller one and you will zoom out. Whatever you do, DON'T use the zoom window, use the Master Scale instead. I don't know how long it was before I found that one in some tutorial... and they explained WHY you don't use zoom and use Master Scale instead. If you use zoom, it takes your fractal forever to regenerate... I mean forever... and it takes it forever to render too. The Master Scale doesn't do this.
BTW, what version of Apo are you using? If you are using the old 2.0, it is soooo difficult to work with compared to the newer versions. Let me know and I will tell you what to do to get a newer version if you need one.
Have you discovered the group yet? They are a good place to find resources right here on dA. Another good resource is the mailing list. If you want the subscribe information on that one I'll get that for you too... if it isn't on the Apo group here on dA. Oh, I have a LOT of resources I can share... about the only thing I can't do is the actual learning part for you.
If I can help, let me know... and please don't let me confuse you. If I go too fast or too far for you, say "Whoa!", K? *grin*

Anj

Thank you, Roger! I'm so glad you like it. I might be making more of this type. It takes me a while to make each of these though, because it takes a long time to rotate the transform that makes the biggest difference. Then, there is moving the transform around that makes the interesting additions... and THEN it's finding a color that I like. *grin* I guess the days of easy fractals are over for me!
Thank you for the too!
Hugs,
Anj
