Oh wow... I absolutely love this. It TOTALLY reminds me of the Chalice in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals. I loved that game, simply because of the world theme they had (the world was covered in poison (what they called Miasma), and it was the crystals (and chalices like this: [link] ) that gave an aura of protection from it. So all the humans lived in towns protected by large crystals, that had to be sort of 'resupplied' from magical trees; and that's where the chalices came in... for adventurers to go out into the dangers to collect the stuff from the trees). Aaaaanyway though. I really like the piece, because it captures that feeling, IMO.
