Description
"Tiger Lily" was (once again) a prompt at Sketch Fest , and I went and looked up what tiger lilies look like. Turns out the name is used for about half a dozen different species. The one I picked, lilium catesbaei, had the most interesting shape, and I'd never seen it before, so I used that one as a basis. The colours are completely different, though.

I didn't realize there were several species called 'tiger lily.' So I looked mine up - I have a few tiger lilies in my front garden, they are Lilium lancifolium: www.minnesotawildflowers.info/…
