Description
Doom as a character is singlehandedly one of my favourite villains, because at his core he is so not a villain.Like magneto, he is a man doing what he thinks is what is for the greater good for himself and his country, his methods can just be villainous and often times ruthless.
At his heart, he is a man that can ally with you, as long as your needs are aligned.
Doom has some of the single most iconic design elements of all comic characters, so I really wanted to keep it.
I just hate the medieval armour look to him, cause it's extremely campy and dated.
I wanted to keep the sort of medieval vibe, but make him far less clunky and more regal.

Hmmm I like the costume you have here but iv never thought his old costume was campy................. mostly because I see it drawn by Jack Kirby....... my favorite part of the Kirby design was the tech.... I imagine underneath that armor is wire and circuitry..... and the occasional death ray........ all that said this would be "marvelous" on an animated FF show!

This is very cool and also along the lines of what I was also trying to do. I love Doom very much would love to see his look change. Especially considering how much he uses new technology and the dark arts, You would think he would be constantly upgrading and changing his armor the way Iron Man is always changing his.

Well... his political actions you're right on, but when it comes to his attitude towards superheroes, specifically Reed, he's not quite as swell. And that's where the real villainy of his character is; he wants to make life a living hell for superheroes, and again Reed especially. Why? Because he had to go through trials upon trials to get to where he is, while superheroes got their powers handed to them on a silver platter. So he responds by making sure they go through what he had to go through.
I have to imagine that despite the fact he hates Reed with all his being, that he's probably developed a grudging respect for him.

I like how it still has an air of royalty to it, but looks much more functional and fear inspiring than his old look. Have to agree with ya though, the old look is quite outdated and downright campy. His original armor looks more like a clown to be laughed at rather than a feared leader and brilliant mind.

I think you should be in charge of the characters' costumes. You make them seem less costumey and more like something you can see them wearing. It's like superhero fashion. Lol.

don't get me wrong, I love this look you gave to him, definitely, but the skirt (I mean, that's how I call it) remembers me to Darth Vader and the boots remembers me to the original ultimate version of him where he had goat feet... awesome!

Great redesign Enymy. As i said previously, I love your new designs for these iconic characters. Marvel should really look your way, because they're some of the best I've seen, staying close to the original, but still reinvented. And I couldn't agree more with your points regarding Doom. Well thought!

love it!...always wanted to redo his costume. feel the same about the outdated look. the green tunic skirt was such a terrible idea to keep for so long.
