Actually Bellydance was invented by women for women. Taught to a bride by other women behind closed doors without the company of men. It was taught to promote uterine health. There were no epidurals back then. It was an exercise to help during Birth. It was also a lesson in sensuality for the act of love making. Bellydance is the expression of the feminine divine. Men didn't start learning until it was used in religious ceremonies.

Interesting buckle that keeps his belt/lower garment in place. I like that you actually show how it fits together rather than just drawing it and blurring it.

Interesting.....where did you hear that? As far as I know belly dancing was started by the Egyptian women to help keep them fit when they were pregnant and then it traveled to Morocco.

Absolutely stunned. The porcelain quality to the skin tones is so weel set against this rush of aquamarine. The colourways are rich warm and very sensual. Love this work. I didn't know this about belly dancers and if true the quicker there is a revival the better. Much better that than shooting each other.

Your art is amazing, the color and detail is great! But... I got to say one thing... The placement of your man nipples looks a little off in your drawings of men. Look at some photos of mens chest. The mans nipple is generally placed towards the bottom out side corners of the pectoral muscles, you tend to place your man nipples to far to the center, making your guys chest look more like a women chest.
But other than that, its great!

I think it's that bit of juicy info that as attention stolen so perfectly. Male belly dancers? *utterly amazed* I LOVE the melting paint effect - or at least that's the way it looks to ME! - on his robe! The shadows actually make his form all the more.... pronounced.
