I love belly dance but you really never see male ones at all :c Which is a sad, sad thing. I don't know if the first ones were men but I know that in many cultures it's not just a feminine dance. Anyway, this is gorgeous. The lines of him, the out fit, his hair, everything. So amazing. I'm just gonna prop my chin in my hand and stare for a while now, don't mind me.

Ну там как было-то, в общем... Считалось, что мужчина должен отдыхать не только телом, но и духом. Поэтому были просто дамы легкого поведения (не гейши), и были мужчины-гейши, с которыми можно было обсудить поэзию, музыку, поговорить на философские темы (типа только мужчина мог осмыслить такие тонкие материи). А потом эту нишу заняли женщины-гейши - тоже научились играть на музыкальных инструментах, говорить на высокие темы, вести себя утонченно и т.д.
Что, и у вас тоже парад разгоняют? О_о

I love the colors in this, the melting of the fabric of his sleeve. I think the idea of men doing such a dance is a little funny, but I think that when they did it, it probably looked a little different!
