Description
This piece is inspired by the idea behind Transformers:Mosaic ([link] ). The idea is to do one page comics that tell a short story, focusing on one character's inner thoughts in particular. The unwritten rule is that it's usually a side character.Today, the spotlight falls on Ridley, recurring antagonist of the Metroid series. Though rarely the last boss, Ridley is, essentially, Samus' biggest enemy for the very reasons you see displayed in the above comic.
Unlike the Marth spotlight, this one is actually quite based in the existing canon for the Metroid series. It was really fun to draw, getting me some practice out of my element. Also, I must admit that it was fun to try and get inside Ridley's head, too.
Robin again did a masterful job of coloring this one, really bringing out the effects and adding detail to both Ridley and Samus. Also, I appreciate his making the backgrounds look very nice as well! Thanks a bunch, Robin!
Oh, and obviously, the above characters are copyright to Nintendo.
I have a few more of these in mind, but they must take back-seat for a while. I'm happy to have two done, though!

Always intriguing how Ridley comes back...In the Prime series i remember how they basically took his torn/dead body and rebuilt it making meta Ridley. The fact that no matter what happened he would somehow be there kinda added to the "effect" of his presence, that no matter what Samus did Ridley would be a constant threat to her...but nonetheless i love this

Nice Work. Most pieces i see of ridley on here, including mine, he's a mindless killing machine. It's nice to see some insight to his intelligence and feelings as a living creature. +fave

Also, I'd like to point out that Samus had the Phazon Suit when she and Meta-Ridley met at the Artifact Temple.

Incredible. Both Samus and Ridley are amazing characters. If you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend the official Metroid prequel e-manga.
PS: I just randomly found this. I was overjoyed to discover this is from the creators of my favorite webcomic. Keep up the good work!

True, my guess is that he does speak, he just does so in some Space pirate language. Btw, Is ridley head Space Pirate? i mean Mother Brain once claimed to be the leader and in the Prime series the Pirate logs kept talking about High command .
It probably is him by virtue of being able to survive.

Mother Brain used to be leader, but it's destroyed by Samus so Ridley just take over.

not the supreme leader it has been stated in the games that he anwsers to other people above him plus he was taking orders from Dark Samus in Prime 3.
he's a high ranking leader but he doesn't have complete control.

Funny, the Japanese comic behind Samus past is someway similiar (Ridley killed Samus parents and she wants revenge)

Cool, in a sense he's Samus's Joker. He may not be her main villain, but because of their personal history he's the most important one.
