I kept seeing this "Inktober" thing floating around over the years, but never actually by the first of October, so I've always been too late to jump in. Not this year! Unfortunately, as my scanner has ceased to exist, I'm forced to do this whole thing digitally, though I do have some nice pens that I really need to break in one of these days.

Not only am I taking this as a "draw a thing every day for a month" challenge, I'm also constraining myself in two other ways, because I like needless restrictions:

* I can only work at a canvas size of 800x600, alterable only in orientation.
* I can only work in black and white.

Let's see if I can keep at it. I'll be going with the prompts on inktober.com/rules .

Not really much to say about this one. I have a story kicking around in my head that involves (very) anthropomorphic animals that live in a fairly cold climate, so I figured I'd draw from that when the prompts led me in the direction of cold-weather precipitation. I already have an entry that involves snow on the ground, so the next logical step would be to depict snow falling for the actual "snow" prompt, right?

Done a bit earlier than usual, probably because I was feeling restless today. It's supposed to be overcast for this scene, but I can't think of how to pull that off in only black and white without it coming out noisy. Other than that, nothing particularly special about this one and not much to say.
