Well, I'll admit I'm a hypocrite; I have at least two things that I'm aware of that don't allow comments. One is an ID, though, with full permission given by the original artist. I want people to fav and comment said original, so I just provide links. The second one's a vent thing in my Scraps that showed my emo side, and I didn't want people to ask what was wrong/give me asspats/ext.

But my controversial stuff will always keep comments enabled, yes. So I still support this stamp.

I've had it it to here if pussies disabling comments (I find that a lot of christian/right wing based stuff tends to be disabled. They obviosuly can't support their belief if they don't allow other's to speak)

I love this crap I really do. "Right wing people and Christians won't let us bitch at them about our beliefs on a picture they put up on an art website! Aren't Christians and right winged people stupid?" It's an art website not debate club, if they don't want to listen to people complain about differing beliefs they don't have to.

They can simply ignore the comments and let the others discuss/argue/debate among themselves. And no, I don't think the christian right are necessarily stupid, but I find the fact that they (often) shove an opinion on a stamp, plastering it on the site and shutting people up from any form of criticism cowardly. Especially, as, like I said, they are not obliged to respond, or even to read the comments, supportive, or critical.

I personally don't even see the point in uploading something on DA without enabling comments, if you can't get any form of feedback. You speak of debates as if they're a bad thing.
