Β For some reason the high contrast between that handsome, somewhat melancholy fellow at the heart of this image and the slightly more cruel, fiercer-looking individual above and on the left of him made me think of them as the feline Thor and Loki ...Β Β

Gee, I never thought of it that way. The one on the left was just drawn funny, and the center lion was meant to be Aslan-esque. The one on the right is supposed to be an Amphimachairodus giganteus, which has a longer face/muzzle, so htat might be it, or the lack of detail (e.g no pupils).
Funnily enough, you've reminded me of this piece of fanart of a book series I used to read
(not mine, obviously). Obviously everyone here is a protagonist, but I get the idea.
I'm not familiar with these superheroes thought, while I'm aware of their origin in Norse myth.

Β Admittedly the THOR series is probably my very favourite chapter in the ongoing MCU Epic, so when contemplating two apparently-related yet very different individuals the Mighty Hemsworth and the Intriguing Hiddleston are my go-reference (although Scar & Mufasa are also logical points of reference, now that I think on them).Β
