Cave Hyaena - "I could totally do that, I'm just not hungry yet."
Bear - Grunts.
Megaloceros - DIES.

Well, I don't know if his claim is quite accurate, but looking at his modern cousins:
When a hyenas says "Man, I'm so hungry, I could literally a whole wildebeest." and the wildebeest and co. just assume he's using a figure of speech, they often come out dead wrong: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eK4j3…

RIP Megaloceros

Well even a hyena can sometimes be caught walking around with a full belly between meals!

Oh yeah.
I've always been a hyena, not a lion, in terms of my eating habits. I don't really fight over food at home, I share, etc. quite often. The trick for me is that I eat quick as fuck.

I'm more of a lion - one shares, but only when obliged to!

Hehe, lions fight a lot, hyenas just eat real quick instead, when it comes to kills.

Doubtless because they're modest enough to know exactly how dangerous they are, yet understand how much more dangerous their neighbours can be!

They know their place.
I imagine they take solace in the fact that their Eurasian bretheren pwned the lion's northern cousin back in the day.

Or did those come at a later time?

Yeah that's what I meant
That's sounds like such a nerdy bear
Probably is, but that'll be the last thing you'd say when he calls his big mean cousin
