i said it out loud the moment i saw this. and it wasn't even the full view.
i love where you went with this. the 'ray of hope' is paid for, illusory, and the prayers are synthetic.
the picture might be chastising organised religion for reaping tithes which are profit in nature. but i say that you might also be referring to how humanity is also seeking illusive answers through false prayers in a monetary medium.
or maybe i'm just tired.
what the heck, it's an amazing piece of work anyway.

History repeats itself, first the Catholic Church and Luther's attempt to get rid of indulgences, and now the ultimate in absolution technology for the go-getter on the go. I could see this being sci-fi cover art. You include just the right amount of degeneration and female attributes to give the figure some sympathy, yet the irony is very weighty.

Holy shit. This is the true meaning of organized religion to me... like those bloody Catholics..... say your Hail Marys and Our Fathers and you can do whatever the Hell you want Mon. to Sat. Paying a few thin dimes would be easier. I cannot stop looking at this - what gets me is the speakerphone mouth and those amazingly human blue eyes. unfuckingbelievable. That's all I can say.
