So yeah, I've been drawing the gijinka versions of the draconic creations for years, and yet not once had their creator made an appearance in my gallery. But at last, here he is, the overlord of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina: Arceus.I've had concept designs of the Original One laid down months ago (probably almost a year), but it's only yesterday did I get enough inspiration to finally refine it. I combined various elements from my renditions of the dragon trio to come up with him, but I did take my time to do additional research for possible costume designs. I guess it's quite evident that I looked into Southeast Asian and Hindu motifs to come up with the headdress. (And note: in the Khmer Royal ballet, the tall spire-like crown could only be worn by dancers who portray the most elevated deities.)
Arceus (c) to Satoshi Tajiri, but the gijinka form is my creation and cannot be used or distributed without my permission.

I really like this! I can somehow see all three dragons in side of his face. The expression is just a fusion of the three. Giratina's coldness, Palkia's tenderness, and Dialga's fierceness, all three's power in one being, the Original One.

I really like how you employed Arceus's ring in a similar way to Palkia's pearl's and Dailga's diamond.
He looks a lot plainer compared to them but thats probably because his actual pokemon form is a lot plainer.

This is even more amazing than the sketch you showed me a while back, I love it and I really like the serious expression he has here.

'Tis about time Daddy Dearest made his appearance. And if I may ask, does he still look exclusively like Dia to you? I tried my hardest to see if I could incorporate even Kiya's and Gira's looks into him, and I'm not sure if I pulled it off fine. O_o

Not to me he doesn't, no, I pulled up the sketch and Dialga's solo piece in separate windows and spent a good minute comparing the two. I see a good blend of Dialga and Palkia in his appearance, but I couldn't see any traces of Giratina. I think he looks absolutely wonderful, so dun worry, you did him justice. I just hope the same can be said of my Articuno gijinka when I post her tomorrow. x_x

I was worried he'll look /too much/ like Giratina, so I guess that explains the outcome. o_o As long as I managed to get Palkia in there, I'm perfectly happy. It's /hard/ to blend the children's looks into their father. And you'll finally be posting her? Well, I'll be seeing your Articuno then. ^_^

Yeah, it does, and you did, trust me. ^_^ I can imagine, but I'll never stop believing that you did an absolutely wonderful job of it. I hope you'll be able to do a colored version of him, because I bet that would look absolutely magnificent. Yeah, I hope you'll like her, though it's just a close-up and her appearance is still experimental, but I tried my absolute hardest to get her to look even remotely decent.

Yes yes yes!! This looks really neat, I looooove it! He definitely looks like a big high emperor. Though I admit I'm surprised you put those little circles under his eyes. Still looks REALLY good though. I can't wait to see this colored, heehee!

Hmmmm, you're probably right. He looks very young to me. Maybe when he's colored he'll look older, more like a father to the dragons.
