Description he's always watching you
you cannot hide
you cannot run

"...You've left me no choice but to go inside and rebuild
what's broken.
Too much , too far , too late to lie down now.
I must arm myself to fight you
by making weapons out of my imperfections.
It's all I have left.
There's no other choice...."

I were a guy I'd steal it and use it as an ID - goes perfectly well with my signature

Really original and emotional picture, actually... like all your stuff, as a matter of fact.

A most interesting concept to go with a fantastic image. I love that the shadow looks so foreboding and powerful.

Hummm.. another favourite.

"...You've left me no choice but to go inside and rebuild what's broken" Perhaps the man is the broken, and the shadow is rebuilt. Tall and impowered.

I love how much meaning and emotion your work potrays.

astonishing the deepness of the picture and the underlying mystery of it....it's is amazing do not stop doing what you love cause that it the only thing that brings happyness to your life......and tell me if i am completely wrong but is the meaning of the picture that everyone has different personalities like polar opposits???

This is a really good picture.

I was wondering if i could use it as the preview pic to my poem
"it's in here with me" i'l put a link back to your page and won't take any credit for the picture.

Check out my gallery for the poem and see if you like it.
You'll also see that i don't alter the preview pics i have from others so as not to ruin the pics that are perfect as they are.

I saw your entry on the self portraits group and had to check out your gallery. Your work is simply stunning. Keep it up. I am just wondering though how you go about doing your self portraits, especially with the likes of this one with the shadow on the wall. I am incredibly intrigued as to how it was created.

It still blows me away at times just what some people can do with a self timer and a camera. I am still experimenting with self-portraiture and have yet to discover so many of these interesting things for myself. Although I do look forward to it

thank you very much
glad that you like my work

this picture isnt really something special
just two pictures pieced together
took one picture of myself standing in front of a light and one sitting on the ground
thats all

Raskuss In reply to AntekPyra [2004-12-08 04:05:25 +0000 UTC]

I thought that is what you would have done but I did not know if the back shadow was taken in front of a screen and then put in or you just positioned both shots well on taking them separately, then joined them together. It is very smoothly done.

that is stunning.
excellent concept and i'm amazed at how it's been executed. absolute brilliance..
i love how empty the space around you is.. really emphasizes the feeling of loneliness or isolation..
and the position in which the shadow is standing is so menacing..
really excellent work.

Excuse me, I'm a student in a military photojournalism course. I'm required to take a self-portrait, and I'd like to do something similar to this. Can you give me any advice or technique tips? Mind you, my image won't be published, it will be used in class only.
Anything you can give me would be a great help.
