Hey all, some cool news I get to share now. I recently had the pleasure of working on my first fantasy book map illustration, for a book called The Silver Stream. It was pretty sweet to have been given the opportunity to have done something like this and was a fun experience for me. For the map, I was given some descriptions of the areas and a sketch to go by from the client where everything had to be. I had creative freedom from what I read in the descriptions, however, to create the cities and style of the map itself.The Silver Stream, by Alexander Garden, will be published by Dorrance Publishing and will be out on sale early 2018.

Indeed, the water for the Purple Falls should come from some mountains, not from the sea.

Thank you. The clients initial sketch had it happening the way we see things. My guess was the Kudor Mountains, but I dunno. Maybe the story says differently, fantasy and all. I know that the Purple Falls isn't your typical waterfall, so who knows what's happening there
