Ooti had to wander far that day to find the fresh herbs that her husband wanted in his supper. So far in fact that she had to slip past the giant fence the villagers had erected to keep out the giant beast that lived on the other side of the island. They worshiped the beast as a god, fearful of it yet bestowing high honor on the female sacrifices that they gave it each year.Ooti's search proved to be futile. That always leads to an unhappy ending, for the girl and the beast. Maybe he should just take her to his Bachelor's Cave and get to know her better
