A'delo looked up expectantly as she heard the cultists shuffle into the chamber above her cell, vocalizing a different chant from the one they normally sang when they visited her. For some reason though there sounded like a lot fewer of them, and there was a soft slithering she'd never heard before accompanying their footsteps. For long moments they chanted the new rhythm.Then they stopped, and in the resulting silence to her horror a long tentacle slithered down the pit to blindly grope about her cell ...
