The game, however, had a very big impact on me, because I lived in Moscow for 7 years.
Seeing stations I walked around recreated in such detail and in such atmosphere was...I wouldn't say devastating, but very emotional.

I did play through both games, and I have to say, while being on the surface has quite a....beauty to it. and sadness.
