Taken on South street, 6-10-03, early am. Note the speckled tree. It's one of the many gum trees that line south street. just stick your old gum on it, and hey, you've added to the spirit of the street. ;PRelated content

Way late to be replying to this, eh?
Well the good news (IMO) is they've put the name back to just the TLA. The Fillmore shouldn't be a brand name. But the bad news is, i think, they have cut this tree down. I will have to check the next time I go but I'm pretty sure I remember wondering where it was the last time I was there.
South Street is nothing like it used to be, sadly. Corporations will spoil anything they can (hello tla fillmore).
There's a place called "The NET" I think.. used to be a very very cool used book store that also sold used LP's and whatnot. It was the kind of place I loved when I was in high school but can't make heads or tails of now.
But let me stop rattling on in reply to some almost-year-old comment and say "Yes, that's what it's near!"

haha yea they cut down the trees and all thease high end retail stores moved in and kicked out the good stores and places to hang out

Hm, which city/state is this? I wish Atlanta would allow for gum to be stuck on trees. The officers down here would probably fine you for loitering or something of that nature.
But anyways, to the shot. I really love it. I can't really see the gum on the tree but what really struck me was how there were numerous subtle but noticeable colors just springing from the street. You've really captured the city's nocturnal activity quite well.
