Eh, they wanted to keep it as serious as it needed to be. Portrait was probably one of the more lighthearted Castlevania games. The only one I can think that was anywhere as goofy was Rondo of Blood...which is well-represented in Portrait.

Yes. I defeated Richter (one of the hardest boss I have ever face. Not as hard then Lingering Will from Kingdom Hearts 2 or Caroline and Justine from Persona 5 but hard as well.

Well, yeah, that's the point. But you deal with them in different ways that make them all hard in their own right. It would make more sense to compare them if they were in the same genres or games. Sans is not Sephiroth. They are difficult in their own ways. Whether one is harder is dependent on your skills within one game or the other.
