I lost control, I admit. This is a very ambicious painting - I tried to make an epic scene of the city, design a new world, put a character into it, all at the same time. This is a big reach out of the comfort zone =] I'm happy enough with this, because it was a priceless exercise in completely new subjects.So this is the futuristic human city. People live in mushroom-shaped homes which hang over the streets. The air here is very polluted, so everyone have to use gas masks outside. This is just a mood painting, there is no certain story in it. I already sketched another painting in the similar setting with an entertaining scenario =] I hope I will be able to relase it tomorrow or after tomorrow.

Even though you created this to convey a mood without a story behind it, it draws me in to wonder more about the setting. The composition is lovely. The main two things my eyes caught first were the man in the foreground and the tall building, but there are so many other areas with neat details that you can find! I love how you brought this piece together.

I love how I can stare long at this piece and still discover new details. Love the complex design of the mushroom buildings. The art also tells a story, a guy spying on the community, perhaps waiting for a particular person to pass by. Very interesting color palette (and a tough one I think) and very thought-through art.

looks amazing! Great job with all the details! The colours work well to, it's gloomy, but not so colorless that it feels dead. I like how it still feels lived in and alive despite the state of the air.

I belive they're constantly in a bad mood because of all this pollution in the air. Pehraps they have to change their clothing every week or even more often, especially the gas masks and coats.

Even if they are not, I love it. Great twist on the mushroom concept and nice color scheme. Shades of brown have never looked so good
