Let me know if the picture is too dark! It was lighter on my school's monitors but here at home it is so dark. I'm not sure which one is more accurate!So here's something to start off the new year, officially. This was an assignment for an illustration class. I really pushed myself with the details and tried to keep everything clean an' pristine! A little inspired by Reign of Fire dragons (I love that movie x3) which are the best dragons of dragon that ever did dragon. Seriously, they are so badass. I don't know why that movie was considered a flop! :C *big frowny face*

It is snowing mighty bad out dere but Imma go get some groceries nao. *gets in car and does donuts in the snow* *comedic woo-woo-woo spinny sound ensues*

Also, this would make a great Tolkien Dragon (as, like Smaug, the eyes has that special glow with the same color as their fire). Turn it black and it would be Ancalagon.
Sorry for such thoughts, I'm mixing my love for the cool ROF dragon looks with Tolkien's world (fan of this world as well).
Again, great artwork job! Can't imagine how long it would take to make an image of this detail.

I also think that the dragons in Reign of fire where fantastically designed (however, the movie itself could have been a lot better, imo). Anyway, awesome work!

This image is 2424 by 2822 pixels.
I'm still getting used to drawing large-scale pictures myself, so these dimensions still may be considered to be quite small!

I don't think it's too dark :3 The blue-ness in the mouth really stands out now ^.^ I really like the detail on the scales, like how they get smaller & smoother towards the middle of the forehead
Also, omg the dragons in that film were just freakin' awesome!
