I am so proud of this one. What can I say? It took about six hours from start to finish.

Started out with a traditional sketch that I outlined to get the inking and save time in the digital process. I scanned it in and deleted all the white areas, leaving the outline. Then, I researched the backgrounds from the show and chose to do a purple sky with a building at the side. I sketched a quick drawing then scanned that (using the same process as before). But I deleted the outline sketch for this one. I used gradient tool for the sky and clouds, and they look great. The building is a bit blah, but it still doesn't look totally crappy (just a little, ).

Danny's hair, boots, and gloves aren't outlined in the gray I wanted, but the pencil lines remained when I scanned it in. Had to leave them (my drawing the outlines usually is sketchy and sucks. I used the shading style of the show, only two shading colors (some places there are three colors). I think it looks awesome. That's not very modest of me, but I do so love this drawing.

Plasmius is not cut from a screenshot. I merely used one and traced and recolored it (hey, I would have copied the pose on paper if I'd been willing to take the time, so it would have looked pretty darn similar no matter what).

Watch out, Danny, here he comes.
I rather like the terror written upon Sam's face. Look, Tucker lost that beret of his, poor guy, not like he doesn't own a whole drawer full of them though (there have been several episodes where they've gotten destroyed.

I added a little blurb to go along with this. It's not my best work, but the drawing makes up for that in my opinion.

“Sam, get on my back!” Danny growled as he struggled against the weight of both his friends. He’d barely flown in to rescue them in time to save them from falling the ten stories down to the asphalt. Vlad Plasmius had found it funny to get some new goons to throw Sam and Tucker through the window on the eleventh story. But, Danny was just able to get there in time to grab Sam by the waist and Tucker-who had taken a beating to save save and was now unconscious-by the hood of his sweater jacket. But, they were both slipping from Danny’s hands without a better grip.

“What?” Sam screamed, her voice filled with terror.

Gritting his teeth, Danny’s muscles started to ache and shiver from the stress put on them. Neither one of his friends was terribly heavy, but it was an awkward grip. “Sam, I can’t hold onto you both like this.” Sweat began to bead upon his forehead as he furrowed his eyebrows. “Hurry,” he demanded.

Swallowing hard, Sam took a deep breath and wrapped both of her arms around Danny’s neck. Using all her upper body strength and what support Danny could give with his left arm, Sam pulled herself up. If the situation hadn’t been so terrifying, she’d been beet red from embarrassment the way Danny and her body brushed against one another. But, terror blocked everything else out as she slid down onto Danny’s back. She felt his muscles tremble against her body, and she let out a shaky breath. How much longer could he stand until he’d have to change back? Even if he was getting better with his ghost powers, his human body had its limits.

Before he could get a better hold on Tucker, the sweater slipped from his fingers. “TUCKER!” Danny screamed as he reached his hand out. Clenching his teeth, Danny yelled to Sam, “HOLD ON!” He felt Sam’s arms tighten upon his neck, almost to the point that he couldn’t breathe past them, but he nodded to himself then zoomed forward. Flying in a nosedive, Sam whining in his ear, Danny was able to reach Tucker before he fell very far. Flying up just a little, Danny still only had Tucker by the hood of his sweater jacket. Sweat slipped down his face, a drop lingering annoyingly upon the tip of his nose. Letting out a grunt, he took a deep breath. “Hang on,” he muttered to Tucker. “Hang on.”

That’s when an evil laugh roared through the air. Glancing to his right, Danny saw him. Plasmius flying full speed in his direction while he had Sam and Tucker in tow. “Oh no,” he whispered and thought ‘What do I do?’
