For some reason, I was drawn to this piece in a very strong way.

And that's also the problem when you stumble across a conceptual / surreal picture. It's up to your interpretation and your own taste which decides whether you like it or not.

I personally found this intriguing to the point where I liked it. The whole intentional motion blur of the subject, the black and white touch with a shade of sepia to it and the harmonious blend of incredible amounts of noise.

The honest truth for the ratings behind this deviation critique can only be explained through personal taste and likings. Was it intentional to grade it one star less on impact? I can only say that it would be up to the rest of the deviants to fill that one start based on how this appeals to them.

Regardless, this is one piece that'll stick in my head for a while.

Ooo, very modernist! I like the grain this time (), but maybe it's a little OTT? Tone is down slightly. The swuare format works well.

This is one of my favourites of your latest posts. I do agree with momosanpeach about the grain (you know that), but this time, because it looks a bit too artificial. I would love it, if the grain was a result, because it was taken with analogue instead But still - quite moody.

for a second i though this was one of my friends paintings. the grain (though still slightly too much. is toning it down a bittoo much to ask? lol) actually realllllly works here and the shot itself is fantastic.

and as for the theme/subject, i think a few lyrics may sum up this comment
