Was this done with an enlarger? That's awesome! Did you use a filter?

I did indeed, although I suppose five weeks of camping is not everyones cup of tea and by the last week, I wanted to kill everyone.
How's your holiday going Cho?

Heheh, I know what you mean. I'm not a camping type at all

Haha, how can you starve in one of the biggest culinary cities on earth?
I have plenty of family there and I most likely won't be staying in Hong Kong alone. We will also go to some places in China and maybe places like Singapore or Japan.

Something about having fingers too fat to hold the chopsticks.
I'd love to go around Asia myself, some of my friends recently moved to Singapore, so maybe that will give me an excuse and some funds.

Hahahah, yeah okay fair enough
Singapore aye? I might go there as well this year Though it depends on how much it will cost

It's not the cost you should watch for, its the rules. You are instantly executed for carrying chewing gum and for chewing...errr... chewing gum, you are dragged into a cesspit of scorpions. The guards like the screams.

Hahah yeah they can be very paranoid about chewing gums, but a lot of my family have been there a few times so I should be safe
Besides, I'm a good boy

Was that last part meant to have a subtle, kinky undertone. Actually don't answer that.
And their whole industy is built on business and tourism so as a tourist, you should be all right. Locals have a 6pm curfew and have to walk around smiling constantly though, or else they are frowned on... by other locals... and others... and the country becomes rebellious... and the world ends.
I think I took that a step too far.

Oh no, I think you may be right. But it won't be just singapore but every country in the world, simultaneously!

We should take action while we can! We must save the world! (This is how terrorist action begins btw)

why an 8 second exposure? i think i don't understand how you did it and please don't leave it a mystery
the photo would still be interesting even if i understood the technical part

aobaob In reply to degringolada [2009-06-14 11:07:35 +0000 UTC]
The 8 second exposure is where the movement comes in. The movement means the other cards are blurry and I only wanted one card completely in focus.

ok, it's just weird that the movement doesn't create a ghostly mantle (like here [link] for example) and it's blurry instead

aobaob In reply to degringolada [2009-06-15 09:25:35 +0000 UTC]
It would, yet there are over 200 cards in this photo, so there is some ghosting, but it is hard to see.
