Description Sorry if this is substandard work for me. My first sketch and lineart with my new tablet. It's actually my first digital lineart, and I'm not sure how good it is. I'm more used to traditional ink, but i need to learn to use digital also. I eat through ink and have to drop a ton of cash to keep inking pens that still work. it's also easier to color a digital lineart.

Well anyway, Joey from my original comic/manga/series/thingy, ESC. He's my go-to character for doodles XD

Done with a Wacom Intuos4 tablet and Corel Painter Essentials 4. I should probably list the medium more often.

P.S. The original sketch is the blue, if you were wondering what's with all the blue junk.

I know how you feel I have trouble finding time to use mine too. It's hard to get enough time on the computer to finish a drawing DX

Thank you!! And don't worry, I've been in that boat also DX That's why traditional media rocks for the poor people like myself. The tablet was a gift from my mom and dad for my birthday. I could not have afforded it on my own.
I hope you can get a tablet if you want one someday. The mice drawing is not fun. I drew with a mouse when I first started also, then upgraded to a notebook laptop (which allows you to draw on the screen) and finally now to a pressure sensitive Wacom. I've experienced several different ways of doing digital art XD My favorite way to draw is still traditional media, though it doesn't usually scan well.

XD yeah, I prefer just using a pencil, but it looks su much cleaner when you do lineart. And what type of Wacom tablet did you get? Like, if it was a Bamboo, that's okay, but if your parents got you a Cimtiq 21UX, YOU'RE RICH.

I definitly didn't get a Cintiq XD Those are the top model for pro, with a visual display right on the tablet itself. I got the lower pro model, the Intuos4 in medium size. It doesn't have a display on the tablet, but that's not really a problem. I don't have much trouble watching the monitor and drawing on it.
The intuos4 models are similar to the Bamboo but they have higher pressure sensitivity and cost more. What they don't tell you, though, is that with the Bamboo you have to purchase extra things, while the Intuos comes with more accessories. So the price evens out more
I hope some of this helps if you ever go to buy a tablet. My parents and I did a lot of research before picking one.

XD well, the Intuos is pretty expensive as well, but I'm not really looking for something that good. A Bamboo Pen will do fine for me XD and anyways, I'm just gonna get the Tablet and Pen and just download the other stuff.
