One of the most idiotic things about DBZ is that, even after killing Dr. Gero, and even after the end of the Cell Saga, Androids 17 & 18 (technically cyborgs, not androids) never went back their actual names, "Lapiz" & "Lazuli". You would think Krillin would know his wife and the mother of his child as "Lazuli", not "18".

First of all, the whole reason they killed Gero was in revenge for subjecting them to his experiments. In order for them to be pissed in the first place, they had to have memories of a time before that. In short, they could remember SOMETHING. And even if they did forget their names, measures could be taken to rectify that. They were teenage delinquents when they were abducted by Gero. Surely, there was evidence of who they were before. Like you said, you might want to use some logic.

Take your own advice, buddy. What person doesn't care about about their own identity? Usually in stories about brainwashing and breaking free from oppression, that's the MOST IMPORTANT THING to people. And considering they were two out of a series of 20 other similarly-named mechanical creations, you're really going to suggest they thought those were their real names? C'mon, son. If you're argue just for the sake of arguing, at the very least, come with something better than that.
