Description
Back again with the redesigns for the mockbuster by Video Brinquedo: 'Little Princess School'. This time I'm tackling the teachers and the other side characters, including a new character that will be a part of the massive rewrite I'm currently working on. Now for who I'm assuming is the school's headmistress: Miss. Grimm!To be honest, the original design kinda made me think of premade clip art assets, she looked strikingly different compared to the other characters; it was as though she was from a completely different show. On top of that the colour scheme she had was not good, she had browns, blues and greens on her outfit that didn't go together and then they gave her pink glasses and lips, I had to scrap most of the colours used on her. I kept the pink and added a dark blue-green, which is much more nicer looking.
Design wise, I based her look off of Queen Elizabeth II herself, with some notable differences so that it doesn't look like I just drew the queen and called it a day. The outfit makes her look a lot more professional instead of a granny that like to bake cookies. It was also interesting to draw a character that is not only elderly, but is also shorter and much more plus-sized than most of the characters I draw. I should really draw more plus-sized characters often.
